Substantial changes (page number and summary are supplied):
- 17: There is some uncertainty that George Armstrong Custer is in the photograph.
- 57: Revised the duration of Lincoln's axe-use.
- 88: Corrected error about myopia and reading; revised acuity discussion.
- 113: Identified Charles Dana as a primary source for tale of Tad's defective palate.
- 130: Added Figure 182 to further illustrate atypical lips in MEN2B.
- 134: Added "or be normal" to legend of figure 134.
- 135: Added reference to eyelid lump in Figure 174.
- 143: Re-worded to be consistent with Dana's first-hand description (page 113).
- 174: Multiple photographs show mass in right eyelid.
- 177: Footnote mentions sun exposure and vitamin D as possible disease modifiers.
- 180: Added a new bullet point.
- 182: Added figure of relatively thin-lipped 53-year-old woman with MEN2B.
- 193: Added protruding ears as a sign of low muscle tone.
- 204: Removed statement that Eddie's left eye is open wider than the right.
- 214: Substituted observation of the Marquis de Chambrun for that of Emilie Helm.
- 240: Added protruding ears to figure.
- 252: Widened figure by 7.5% to conform to proportions of other copies of this photo.
